        Who Owns Proven Winners?

Proven Winners North America is owned by plant propagators, Four Star Greenhouse in Carleton, Mi and Pleasant View Gardens in Loudon, NH. They work with Nordic Nurseries and Sobkowich Greenhouses out of Canada to produce liners. The liners are sold to wholesale nurseries to finish the growing process and then the plants are sold to garden centers. Proven winners also has partnerships with Spring Meadow Nursery, Walters Gardens, Garden Solutions, and Classic Caladiums

How to Plant Proven Winners Plants

Water your potted Proven Winners plant prior to planting to get the roots thoroughly wet. Dig a hole 2 times wider than the container, but no deeper than the height of the root ball. When your plant is placed in the hole you should be able to see the top of the root ball slightly above the existing soil line. Backfill the soil and water deeply until the ground is fully saturated. Apply 1 to 2 inches of mulch to reduce weeds and protect the roots.

When to Plant Proven Winners Plants

The best time to plant Proven Winners is in spring or fall. We recommend that hardiness growing zones 3 to 7 plant at least 6 to 8 weeks before the ground freezes for best results. Growing zones 8 to 11 can plant anytime in fall and winter. Summer planting is fine in cooler regions, but keep the soil constantly moist.

How to Fertilize Proven Winners Plants

Use our balanced slow release fertilizer at the time of planting to boost the establishment of your Proven Winners plant. This specially formulated fertilizer feeds plants for up to 6 months and never causes fertilizer burn. Apply PlantingTree Slow Release Fertilizer each spring for best results. It is great for trees, shrubs, evergreens, perennials, and more.
